Widows Ministry
At Southern Hills, we believe that caring for one another is part of what it means to be the body of Christ. Our Widows Ministry exists to surround the widows in our church family with friendship, practical support, and genuine fellowship.
Our men regularly come alongside our widows to help with the things that can be difficult to manage alone—from yard work and home projects to other practical needs that arise. But this ministry is about more than simply lending a helping hand. Throughout the year, we enjoy brunches, gatherings, and opportunities to share a meal, laugh together, encourage one another, and simply enjoy being part of the same church family.

Mothers Day Out
Our Mothers Day Out Ministry is a weekly opportunity for moms to take a few hours for themselves while their children enjoy time together in a safe, caring environment. Whether you need to run errands, tackle a few things around the house, meet a friend for coffee, enjoy fellowship with other moms, or simply have a quiet moment to recharge, this time is for you.
We know that motherhood is both a beautiful blessing and a demanding calling. Sometimes a few uninterrupted hours can make all the difference. Our desire is to come alongside the mothers in our church and community by creating a place where children can play, learn, and build friendships while Mom gets the opportunity to rest and reset.

Men's Ministry
Our Men's Ministry is a place for the men of Southern Hills to grow together in their faith, build meaningful friendships, and put their faith into action. Through monthly men's breakfasts, Bible studies, fellowship, and opportunities to serve, we encourage one another to grow as men who love Christ, lead well, and faithfully serve those around us.
Our men also regularly come alongside our church family through practical service—from helping care for our widows to maintaining and improving our church property. We believe that fellowship isn't just about gathering around a table; it's also about rolling up our sleeves and serving together.
Whether we're studying God's Word, sharing a meal, tackling a project, or simply enjoying good conversation, our Men's Ministry is about building relationships, strengthening our faith, and serving Christ together.

Children's Ministry
Our Children's Ministry provides a welcoming and engaging space for our youngest church family members to learn about God's Word while having plenty of opportunities to play, create, and build friendships.
During our children's time together, kids enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons, crafts, snacks, playtime, and fellowship in a warm and caring environment. Our goal is to help children begin building a foundation of faith while teaching them that church is a place where they are known, loved, and welcomed.
We believe children are an important part of the church family, and we want them to experience the joy of learning about Jesus alongside others their age.
Children are always welcome to worship alongside their families in our Sunday service. Our Children's Ministry is available during designated times for families who would like their children to participate.

Spanish Ministry
Our Spanish Ministry exists to welcome and serve Spanish-speaking individuals and families as part of the Southern Hills church family. We desire to make the Gospel, fellowship, and life of our church accessible to everyone, regardless of their primary language.
We currently offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, and have the resources to offer Spanish translation during our worship services, and opportunities for Spanish-language Bible studies and fellowship. As the Lord provides and our Spanish-speaking ministry grows, we hope to expand these opportunities, including the possibility of offering a Spanish-language worship service in the future.
Our desire is not to create separate communities within the church, but to build a church family where language is never a barrier to knowing Christ, worshiping together, and growing in faith.

Community Garden
Our Community Garden is cared for by our church family and exists as a simple, tangible way to love and serve those around us. As we plant, tend, and harvest together, the garden provides fresh produce to bless both our church family and members of our local community.
More than just a place to grow vegetables, we hope our garden will be a place where people can work together, build relationships, share what God has provided, and care for our neighbors. We believe that even something as simple as sharing a harvest can be an opportunity to reflect the generosity and love of Christ.
As the Lord continues to grow our garden and our church, we look forward to seeing the ways He will use it to bless others.

Community Evangelism
We believe the good news of Jesus Christ is meant to be shared, not kept within the walls of the church. Through our Community Evangelism ministry, we go into the neighborhoods and communities around us to meet our neighbors, share the Gospel, offer encouragement and support, pray with and for those we meet, and invite them to worship with us at Southern Hills.
Our desire is to approach every door with humility, kindness, and genuine care. We want to build relationships, listen to the needs of our community, and faithfully point people toward the hope we have in Christ.
As we go, we trust the Lord to open doors and prepare hearts. Our responsibility is to faithfully go, speak, listen, and love; the work of changing hearts belongs to Him.
